Sniffers donate to Zoe's Place Baby Hospice

Recently, Colin Wilcox, Robin Woolgar and Alex Mellon went to ZOE’S PLACE to present Cheques for £2650 being the money raised at the Ceili Night in April. Thanks again to everyone who contributed to this village fundraising event while having fun! We were shown around the hospice by Harman Kaur their Community Fundraiser. Only 20% of their funding is from government sources, the rest from sponsorship and fundraising activities. Although we weren’t able to enter the areas where children were being looked after it was possible to feel the calm and professional atmosphere in the building. Typically, in a week they provide care for 48 children including day/night respite, weekends, activities for siblings and parents whose needs are equally as great. We saw the Quiet Room and most movingly the family suite provided for end-of-life care. We left with lumps in our throats and humbled by the sensitive and caring work of the staff. When we reported back that it cost close to £3500 a day to run, Sniffers agreed to donate a further £500 from funds.
