Some Like it Hot - Swing and Jazz at the Village Hall

Join us on Saturday 17th October from 7.00pm onwards at the Village Hall for an evening of fantastic live music, dancing and great entertainment.

Get ready to dance the night away to the energetic sounds of this outstanding six-piece band, featuring guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, trumpet and the talented Mari on saxophone and vocals. Together, they create an irresistible, high-energy blend of up-tempo swing, infectious jazz rhythms, lively horn arrangements and boogie-woogie piano that will have you on the dance floor from the very first song.

Some Like It Hot celebrates the golden age of swing and jazz, bringing to life the music of the 1930s Hot Club era, the electrifying jump blues of the 1940s, and the unforgettable big band and small combo sounds that laid the foundations for modern popular music, right through to the birth of rock 'n' roll.

The evening will feature timeless classics from legendary artists including Louis Prima, Benny Goodman, Nat King Cole, Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway, George Gershwin, Louis Armstrong, and many more.

Whether you're a keen dancer, a jazz enthusiast or simply looking for a wonderful night out with friends, this promises to be an evening full of great music, fun and atmosphere.
